Hybrid (particle physics)

Hybrids are exotic mesons that consist of one or more valence quark-antiquark pairs and one or more real gluons.

Hybrids are predicted to have ground states with quantum numbers JPC = 0−+, 1−+, 2−+ and 1−−, with masses in the 1.7 to 1.9 GeV range.
