Hurricane Lili (disambiguation)
The name Lili was used for four tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.
- 1984's Hurricane Lili – a rare December hurricane, made landfall in Haiti on Christmas Eve after degenerating into a group of thunderstorms.
- 1990's Hurricane Lili – threatened the United States for a short time but turned north, losing its tropical characteristics before reaching Nova Scotia.
- 1996's Hurricane Lili – caused extensive damage in Central America, Cuba and the Bahamas; killed eight in Central America while it was forming, and retained tropical storm winds as it crossed the British Isles, killing two in the United Kingdom.
- 2002's Hurricane Lili – impacted Windward Islands, Jamaica and Haiti. After crossing the western end of Cuba, it reached Category 4 strength but weakened substantially in the 12 hours before striking Louisiana. Killed a dozen on the islands and caused $850 million in damage to the United States.
The name Lili was retired after the 2002 season, and will be replaced by Laura in the 2008 season.
