Hurricane Bret
The name Bret has been used for four tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.
- 1981's Tropical Storm Bret – made landfall in southern Maryland, no real damage
- 1987's Tropical Storm Bret – short-lived storm remained in the eastern Atlantic Ocean
- 1993's Tropical Storm Bret – passed over Venezuela, killing 180
- 1999's Hurricane Bret – strong Category 3 hurricane that hit south Texas, although damage was minimized as it hit a sparsely populated area
