Hur
(Redirected from Hur (Bible))
- This article is about the biblical figure. For Ukraine's military intelligence service, see HUR.
Hur (חור) was a figure in the Torah. He was a member of the tribe of Yehuda. He was evidently an important individual, as he was chosen to go with Moses and Aaron to the top of a mountain during the war against Amalek.
According to Jewish tradition, Hur tried to stop the Hebrews from committing the sin of the Golden Calf. He was then killed.
