Hugh Macmillan, 1st Baron Macmillan
Hugh Pattison Macmillan, 1st Baron Macmillan (February 20 1873 – September 5 1952) was a British Law Lord who was later brought into politics to serve as Minister of Information at the outbreak of the Second World War. However he came in for much criticism and was soon replaced.
The Ministry of Information was located in the Senate House, University of London, and the Macmillan Hall there is named after him.
