HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën (F802) is the first ship of the De Zeven Provinciën class of air defence and command frigates in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy. There are three more ships in this class, Tromp (F 803), De Ruyter (F 804) and Evertsen (F805). The class was designed in cooperation with Germany and Spain.

De Zeven Provinciën is the eighth ship in the Royal Netherlands Navy to carry that name. The name refers to the original seven Dutch provincies which together formed the Union of Utrecht. See HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën for other ships of this name.

She was built at the Schelde Docks in Vlissingen. Her design incorperates stealth technology, as well as advanced new radars of a Dutch design.
