Tomoyasu Hotei

Tomoyasu Hotei (布袋寅泰 Hotei Tomoyasu, born February 1, 1962 in Takasaki, Gunma) is a Japanese musician, guitarist and actor. He was a member of the rock group BOØWY from 1982 to 1988. Kyosuke Himuro is the same band's member.

In addition to releasing many solo albums, Hotei composed & performed the score for Hiroyuki Nakano's Samurai Fiction, as well as starring in the film.

His music has been featured in the movies Kill Bill and Team America: World Police (though is not included on the CD issued for the latter's soundtrack), as well as the album Merry Axemas.

His wife is Miki Imai.
