Hotdish

Hotdish is any of a variety of casseroles found in Minnesota, US and surrounding areas.

Example: Tatertot Hotdish is made by browning hamburger, combining it with a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup and some vegetables, placing the filling in a casserole, topping it all off with tatertots, and baking at a reasonable temperature until it smells done.

It's hard to mess up hotdish, and they're great for potlucks.
