Hop Back Brewery

A small brewery sited in Downton, near Salisbury, Wiltshire, founded by John and Julie Gilbert. Beer was first brewed in 1986 at the Wyndham Arms in Salisbury, and moved to larger premises in Downton six years later. As of 2005, Hop Back owns eleven public houses around the south of England and has an annual production of more than 10,000 barrels. Their most famous beers are GFB (Gilbert's First Brew), Crop Circle, Entire Stout and Summer Lightning.
