Home To Roost

Home to Roost was an early Channel 4 sitcom, made by Yorkshire Television and broadcast in 1985. It was written by Eric Chappell of Rising Damp fame, and starred John Thaw as Henry Willows and Reece Dinsdale as his son Matthew. Elizabeth Bennett completed the main cast as their cleaner, Enid.

Set in London, the plots revolved around the conflict between divorcee Henry and his 18-year-old son who has come to live with him for good.

The show's theme tune was, appropriately enough, Lionel Bart's Consider Yourself (at home, Consider yourself one of the family...) from Oliver!
