Homaid

Homaid (Arabic: حميض) is a small grass-like plant that grows in the desert of the United Arab Emirates after the winter rains.

The plant is sour in taste, and this is where the term homaid is derived from. Young people in the area like to collect this plant because they find it pleasant to eat.
