Holistic law

Holistic law is an emerging style of practicing law that is more authentic, creative and heart-centered. Starting in the 1990s, lawyers were becoming more dissatisfied with traditional law practices. They started stepping out of the box and offering services that were more unique and client centered. Over time this holistic movement in the law began differentiating into new types of practice. Under the umbrella of holistic law practice are these sub-areas such as collaborative law, transformative law, and theraputic jurisprudence. Transforming Practices, a book by Steven Keeva, was the first book to describe this trend in the law to a more heart-felt, less litigious way to practice law. The International Alliance of Holistic Attorneys and Renaissance Lawyers are two groups that promote holistic law, both accessible on the web.
