Hirosaki, Aomori

Hirosaki (弘前市; -shi) is a city located in Aomori in Tohoku region of Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 174,827 and the density of 638.50 persons per km². The total area is 273.81 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1889.

Hirosaki Castle, a famous landmark, is located in the city and is a national treasure of Japan.
