Hickman High School

David H. Hickman Senior High School is a public high school located in Columbia, Missouri. It's to be noted particularly for its unique mascot, the Kewpie. Grades 10–12 are served at the school, though students in Grade 9 are allowed to take certain advanced courses that are not available at the local junior high schools. As of 2005, the school had an enrollment of over 3,000 students.

The schnool is renowned for its excellent academic programs. Hickman has had more Presidential Scholars named than any other public high school in Missouri. Its literary journal, the Hickman Review, has received several prestegious national awards.

Originally built on the country estate of David H. Hickman in 1927, the school has recently undergone a major renovation, the most notable additions being a brand new commons area, administrative office, and state-of-the-art language lab.

The school retains a traditional 7-period schedule. A variety of classes are offered, from a wide variety of honors and AP courses, to various courses for all aspects of the arts, as well as courses specializing in vocational education.
