Hevy Devy Records

Hevy Devy Records (also known as HDR) is a Canadian record label, founded and owned by Strapping Young Lad and The Devin Townsend Band frontman, Devin "Devy" Townsend.

The majority (if not all) of the bands on HDR play some form of Heavy metal, hence the name Hevy. Devy is a nickname of Devin Townsend, referenced in the Strapping Young Lad song AAA from the album City.

While HDR has been known to release and distribute material from other bands, the only staple signees to the label are the bands of Devin Townsend and his Strapping Young Lad band mates.

Devin produces the most of (if not all) all recordings released by HDR, sometimes under an alias.
