Herbert Klein

Herbert Klein served in the United States House of Representatives from New Jersey. He was born in Newark, N.J., on June 24, 1930, and received his B.A. from Rutgers University in 1950 and a J.D. from the Harvard University School of Law in 1953, as well as a LL.M. from New York University in 1958. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954–1956. Admitted to the bar in 1953, he commenced the practice of law in Clifton, N.J.. After servng as a member of the New Jersey State Assembly from 1972–1976 and as Executive Director of the Passaic County Democratic Committee from 1977–1981, he was elected as a Democrat to the 103rd Congress, where he served from January 3, 1993 to January 3, 1995).
