Helen Oyeyemi
Helen Oyeyemi (born 1984) is a British novelist. She was born in Nigeria in 1984 and moved to London when she was four. She wrote her first novel, The Icarus Girl, while still at school studying for her A levels.
Oyeyemi is now a student of Social and Political Sciences at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. At Cambridge, two of her plays, Juniper's Whitening and Victimese, have been performed by the student drama community to critical acclaim and subsequently published by Methuen. As of 2005, she is working on her second novel.
