Head of the River (Australia)

The Head of the River rowing regatta takes place in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia every March. It is the culmination of the GPS (Great Public Schools) rowing season for senior crews. All 8 GPS schools send their crews to Head of the River.

The Head of the River has a long history, being over 100 years old. The Shore School dominated the 2004 Head of the River winning all senior races. Sydney Boys High School came fourth in the 2005 Head of the River.
