Hata Shuroku

Hata Shuroku (b1879-d1962), was a Japanese General during World War II. He entered the Imperial Japanese Army in 1888. He served as the Minister of War from 1939 to 1940. He served as commander of the China Expeditionary Army from 1942 to 1944. He served as commander of the 2d General Army in Japan from 1944 to 1945. In 1948 he was sentenced to life as a war criminal. He died in 1962.
