Has Been

Has Been (2004) is William Shatner's second attempt at a musical album after 1968's The Transformed Man. This work was arranged by Ben Folds and most of the songs are co-written by Folds and Shatner, and feature guest appearances from artists such as Joe Jackson (on Pulp's "Common People"), Brad Paisley (on "Real"), and Henry Rollins (on "I Can't Get Behind That"). Has Been reached #22 on Billboard magazine's Heatseekers chart. It was rated 4 out of 5 stars by All Music Guide.
In the 2004 Triple J Hottest 100 (a music poll held at the beginning of 2005), "Common People" came in at number 21. This was the first time Shatner had made it into the Hottest 100.
