Happy Valley Racecourse
Happy Valley Horse Racing Track is one of the two racecourses for horseracing in Hong Kong. It is located in Happy Valley on Hong Kong Island.
It was first built in 1845 to provide hourseracing for the British people in Hong Kong. However, it became more and more popular among the Chinese residents. On 26th Feburury 1918, there was a huge fire and over 6000 people was dead due to this accident.
The track was rebuilt in 1995, and became a world-class horseracing facility. The Hong Kong Racing Museum was set up in the same year.
