Hakushin

Hakushin, once a great monk that helps people during the great famine, eventually he succumbed to the desease. Dying, he was buried alive by the people he helped in order for him to become a living Buddha. Naraku, however, used the great monk by instigating him, saying that it's ok to hate the people that buried him. Naraku revived the great monk, (he became a living mummy) and thus, the great monk agree to help Naraku by erecting a barrier around Mount Hakurei (白霊山, hakurei-zan). Hakushin holy barrier around Mount Hakurei (白霊山, hakurei-zan) is so powerful, that it purify every creature that have demonic power or evil thought. Inuyasha was turned into human form inside the barrier, Miroku unable to touch Sango's backside as the barrier purified his evil thought and Sesshoumaru speed decreased while he's inside the barrier. Miroku and Sango eventually met with the Great Monk, Hakushin. A short battle erupt in which Miroku Kazaana (air void) successfully dislodge the great monk, but the great monk teleported to the foot of Mount Hakurei. Hakushin met Kikyou, in which kikyou successfully persuade the great monk to drop the holy barrier and then reasoned with the great monk on why he should leave the world. He agreed and thus, he dissappeared.
