Haeju
Haeju (Hanja: 海州) is a city in North Korea located in South Hwanghae Province near Haeju Bay. At the beginning of 20th century, it becomes Sino-Korean strategic trade port, it is the administrative centre of South Hwanghae Province too.
Famous tourist attractions:
- Puyong Temple,
- Haeju Tarani Temple,
- Decodar, Pine Tree, Apricot Tree, Pear Tree, Pagodas.
The neighboring scenic spot includes: Suyangsan Falls, Sokdamgugok, Fort on Mountain Suyang and Sohyonso Temple. It is also home to Haeju University of Education. Haeju has chemistry enterprise and cement factory.
Transportation
Haeju has a military and civilian dual purposes air station (HAE), with a 12/30 runway.
