Hachikai, Aichi

Hachikai (八開村; -mura) was a village located in Ama District, Aichi, Japan.

As of 2003, the village has an estimated population of 4,930 and a density of 404.43 persons per km². The total area is 12.19 km².

On April 1 2005, the town was united with Saya, Saori Towns and Tatsuta Village of Ama District. The new city name is "Aisai (愛西市; -shi)."
