Green Mansions
Green Mansions: A Romance of the Tropical Forest is an exotic romance about a traveller to the Guyana jungle of Southeastern Venezuela, as told by William Henry Hudson. The traveller befriends local tribes and met up with a girl in the jungle after being bitten by a snake. The girl was the last surviving member of a tribe different from the locals. She was at home in the jungle and treated the animals as her friends.
The natives view her as an enemy and with fear. The rest of the story revolves her trying to find her origin and came face to face with the truth that she was the last of her tribe.
