Grampian

Grampian was a local government region of Scotland from 1975 to 1996. It is now divided into the council areas of:

Whilst it existed it had several districts under it:

The region took its name from the Grampian mountains.

Grampian continues to have a joint police service, fire service, and electoral, valuation, and health boards.


Grampian is also the name of a commercial TV station which has served the north and east regions of Scotland since 1961.
