Gracias is a small Honduran town that was founded in 1526, and now contains approximately 25000 people. It is found in the mountainous centre of western Honduras, in the Lempira departamento. The peak of Montaña Celaque (Celaque Mountain) at 2,848 meters lies within the boundaries of Gracias.
