Gothos

Gothos is a fictional planet that appears in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode The Squire of Gothos.

Gothos was encountered on stardate 2124.5 by the Enterprise, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. It was of interest to the Enterprise because it was an uncharted rogue planet, which drifted through space and didn't orbit a star.

Gothos appeared to be a barren world with a poisonous atmosphere incapable of supporting life, however a being known as Trelane resided there, making the planet his playground. Trelane abducted Enterprise crew members, playing deadly games with them for his twisted amusement.
