Meaning Behind Naming of this village
The name of this village comes from two words Gora and Mansingh. Mansingh was a king who came in this village many years ago in the hope of establishinging his own sovereignty. He came from Sitalpur Pratapgarh. Since Mansingh fixed a Vijay flag and established a castle on my village (in local language Hindi, fixing a flag on the earth is known as "jhanda gaarna". The word Gora comes from "gaarna". so this village name is Goramansingh. A few people in this village say the word Gora comes from the word "Gauri", the name of the Mansingh's queen. In love the king Mansingh called Gauri as Gora. Hence, the name Goramansingh.
