Going for the One is an album by British progressive rock band Yes, released in 1977. This album marked the return of legendary keyboardist Rick Wakeman, who had earlier left the band after the release of 1974's Tales From Topographic Oceans. Following a group 'sabbatical' in 1976, when each of the band members released a solo album rather than a full group project, this album utilised a variety of new sounds, including the polyphonic synthesiser as well as marking a return to shorter length tracks rather than the 'epics' of the previous three Yes releases. The longest track on the record, Awaken, is proclaimed by some fans of the group to be one of Yes's best and most complex songs.
