Go to work on an egg
"Go to work on an egg" was an advertising slogan used by the United Kingdom's Egg Marketing Board during the 1960s as part of over £12 million they spent on advertising.
Reportedly created by Fay Weldon, she has since said that she was just the manager of the person who created the phrase, the proposition was that having an egg for breakfast was the best way to start the working day.
