The Go-Ahead Group is a rail and bus operating company that was created following the liberalisation of the UK's train and bus industries.

The main distinguishing feature of the Go-Ahead Group is the relatively large amount of autonomy the group offers its individual operating companies, and its willingness to invest in more local management. This seems to pay off, as two of the group's bus operating companies, in Oxford and Brighton respectively, are widely seen as the most successful bus operations in the UK outside London.
