Ghost (Matrix character)

Ghost is the name of a fictional character (played by Anthony Wong) in the computer game Enter the Matrix, and the science fiction films The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. In Making 'Enter the Matrix', he's described by the Wachowski brothers as an "ascetic Buddhist killer". A student of philosophy, he quotes and/or refers to Hume, Kierkegaard, James, and Nietzsche. His name may be a reference to the concept of a "Ghost" in "Ghost in the Shell", where a Ghost is in essence what Humans and Cyborgs have and Androids lack: the human spirit, or a soul.

As seen in the game Enter the Matrix, Ghost is Trinity's brother. He serves on the Logos alongside his Captain, Niobe, and Operator, Sparks.
