Ghidorah

Ghidora, next to Godzilla and Mothra, is one of the most recognizable Kaiju. A space monster of considerable malevolence and destructive talent, Ghidorah resembles an armless, bipedal dragon with three heads. Ghidorah has different incarnations in different movies, which makes describing it rather difficult. Each Ghidorah has a different history and different abilities, though all share the capacities of flight and a breath weapon.

One Ghidorah, called Grand King Ghidorah, is a space-faring disaster, responsible for annhiliating all life on Mars and the extinction of the Dinosaurs. It's spawn- Death Ghidorah- is just as terrible.

Another Ghidorah was not a space monster but the result of time-traveller intervention in history, created by exposing a trio of harmless little creatures called Dorats to the same atomic explosion that created Godzilla. This version was slain by Godzilla and later resurrected as the cyborg Mecha-Ghidorah.

A third was encountered twice as a kind of extraterrestrial Kaiju mercenary; serving as an ally of both Gigan and later the Kilaaks.
