Gerlachovsky stit

The Gerlachovský štít or Gerlach(ov) Peak (2655 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Tatra mountains, of Slovakia and of the whole Carpathians.

Former names: Gerlach (original name; until 1896), Franz Joseph Peak (1896 – 1919), Peak of Legionaries (1923 - ?1932), Stalin Peak (1949 – appr. 1959).
