Gerald Schwartz

Gerald Schwartz, born c.1940 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a Canadian businessman. He founded Onex Corporation in 1983 and co-founded CanWest Global Communications Inc. in 1977. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and received his B.A. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Manitoba and his MBA degree from Harvard University.

He is married to Heather Reisman, Chief Executive of Indigo Books & Music and has four grown children and four grandchildren.
