Georgia College & State University (GC&SU) is a public university in Milledgeville, Georgia with over 5,000 students. It is a part of the University System of Georgia.

The main campus is comprised of 43 acres (174,000 m²) in the middle of Milledgeville. West Campus, a 500 acre (2 km²) extension a few blocks from the main campus, contains Bobcat Village and the sports complex. <p> Other Campuses:<b>
GC&SU has campuses in Warner Robins ('Robins Center') and in Macon. <p> <b>Founded:<b>
GC&SU was originally founded in 1889, and was originally known as Georgia Normal & Industrial College . The school took on other names such as Georgia State College for Women, Women's College of Georgia, and Georgia College before adopting its current name in 1996.
