Gene Conley

Gene Conley, born Donald Eugene Conley (November 10, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma) is a former baseball and basketball player. He has been one of a small number of players to reach the high level in both sports.

Conley played with the 1957 World Series champions Milwaukee Braves and NBA champions Boston Celtics from 1959–61 (1959–61). He also was the winning pitcher in the 1954 All-Star Game.

In 11 seasons pitching for the Braves, Phillies and Red Sox, Conley posted a 91–96 with 888 strikeouts and a 3.82 ERA in 1588.2 innings.
