Gaziosmanpasa

Gaziosmanpasa is a working class suburb of Istanbul, Turkey, on its European side.

The area itself is an ethnic, religious and political melting pot and in the past it had the unfortunate reputation for being the centre of left and right wing violence in Istanbul with many Istanbul people referring to the area as 'little Texas' .

The area itself suffers from unemployment and is extremely large stretching to the outskirts of the city and including small outling villages in its boundries.
