Gakti

Gakti is a variety of clothing worn by the Sami of northern Scandinavia, Finland and Russia, both in ceremonial contexts and while working, particularly when herding reindeer. The clothes are characterized by a dominate blue color adorned with red bands, plaits and tin arts, and a high collar.

The associated cap has traditionally been the garment that differs between Sami villages ("siida"). Other, more specialized, accoutrements include shoes and belts.
