Gajim
- While spelt similar, Gajim should not be confused with Gaim, a multi-protocol, cross-platform instant messenger.
- Please don't edit for this and the next week. Also keep in mind that 0.7 won't be out until next week. Thank you--Nkour 16:16, 13 May 2005 (UTC) (from Gajim dev team)

Mission statement
The goal of the Gajim project is to provide a full featured and easy to use xmpp client for the GTK+ users. Gajim does not require GNOME to run, eventhough it exists with it nicely.
Gajim Features
- Tabbed chat windows
- Groupchat support (with MUC protocol)
- Emoticons, URL grabber
- Systray icon
- TLS & GPG support
- Transport Registration support

Network Features
Because Jabber allows gateways to other services, which many servers support, it can also connect to the Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, ICQ and .NET Messenger Service networks. Other services available using gateway servers, include RSS and ATOM news feeds, sending SMS messages to cellular networks and weather reports. For more see Jabber.
