Gael Chauvin
Gael Chauvin played ice-hockey since he was 5 years old till he was 20 with the "Bruleurs de Loups" at Grenoble, winning the French championship in 1993 (cadet) and in 1995 (junior). He had been drafted to play european championship in 1993 and 1994 ( junior 18 ans) and world championship in 1995 and 1996 (Junior 20 ans) with the French national team. But due to a serious knee injury, decided to stop playing ice-hockey.
Now, he still plays roller in-line hockey team of Grenoble, the Yetis. Twice, his team was placed second at the roller in-line French championship and was again drafted to play in the world championship in 1998 and 1999.
In the same year that he got drafted (1998–1999), he was placed in charge of the tresor for Marco Polo'98 project. Their purpose was to visit French companies installed in China, sponsored by INPG, CROUS, Martel Cognac , FRAMATOME and ST-MICROELECTRONICS.
Since then, he began his training for Astronomy and has been doing it ever since.
