Gad (Bible character)

Gad is a son of Jacob and Zilpah. His name means "luck" or "Fortunate." Gad was the first son through Zilpah, and 6th son of Jacob. (Genesis 29 – 30)

'When Leah saw that she had stopped having children, she took her maidservant Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife.' (Genesis 30:9)
