Futureculture

Futureculture was a e-mailing list, and the first in a series of counterculture internet organizations in the 1990's.

Futureculture was founded by Andy Hawks in early 1992. The basic theme of futureculture and all the child organizations spawned by it was the newfound ability of people all over the world to connect eaisily. It was the first time specifically similar personalities could link up and socialize.

After nearly two years, the creator of futureculture, Andy Hawks, left, and it was replaced with several other communities such as fringeware, mindspace, and Visionary Plants List.
