Fukuchiyama Line
The Fukuchiyama Line (福知山線) is a railway line of West Japan Railway (JR-West) between Osaka and Fukuchiyama, Japan. The southern portion of the line, known as the JR Takarazuka Line (JR宝塚線), runs through the cities of Kawanishi and Takarazuka in the northwestern corner of the Osaka metropolitan area.

History
Modernization of the route was advanced around from the 1980s. Railway signal changes to CTC, and the whole-line electrification to the Fukuchiyama station will be completed in 1986.
On April 25, 2005, a train accident happened between two stations, Amagasaki and Tsukaguchi. The seven-car Rapid Service bound for Doshisha-mae crashed. (see: Amagasaki rail crash)
