Fu Manchu (band)

Fu Manchu is a Southern Californian stoner rock band. Since the release of their debut single Kept Between Trees in 1990, Fu Manchu has gained a reputation for powerful live performances, which they have gained touring with Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Marilyn Manson and White Zombie among others. Fu Manchu has kept a rotating line-up, but Scott Hill has been on lead vocals and Brad Davis has been on bass since the beginning. Scott Vatow sang and Mark Abshire played bass on the first release, a seven-inch record Kept Between Trees in 1990. Former Fu Manchu Members Eddie Glass, Reuben Romano, and Mark Abshire formed Nebula, a band that took the jam-influenced side of Fu Manchu and expanded on it. Both bands have stayed relatively successful within their scene.
