From The Top

From the Top is a musical theatre play, an American radio show, and an expression used by music directors and conductors.

Radio Show

From the Top is a weekly 1-hour radio show on Public Radio International which showcases young classical music performers. Any musician around the world from the ages of 9 to 18 can participate. Each musician or group plays a piece that is about 4 minutes long, and is then interviewed by the show's host, notable pianist Christopher O'Riley. O'Riley's playing is also featured at the beginning and the half-way point of every show. There are also humorous comedy segments throughout the show.
