Freeway (movie)
Freeway is a 1996 movie starring Kiefer Sutherland, Reese Witherspoon and Brooke Shields. It was directed by Matthew Bright.
Plot
Sutherland plays a serial killer and rapist, Bob Wolverton, who picks up Witherspoon's character, Vanessa Lutz, after her car breaks down. The tables are turned, however, as Vanessa eventually shoots him several times and escapes. Bob survives, severely handicapped, and Vanessa is put on trial, with everyone believing (at first) that Bob is the innocent victim he claims to be. The movie is a dark comedy with a theme of the story of Little Red Riding Hood; Vanessa's goal is to reach her grandmother's house after her mother and stepfather are arrested at the beginning of the movie, and Bob, who kills Vanessa's grandmother at the end of the movie only to be killed himself, represents the wolf.
