Fox Theatre (Detroit)
The Fox Theatre in downtown Detroit, Michigan is a historic Roaring Twenties movie palace. Built in 1928, it was designed by C. Howard Crane, who created in its interior a lavish blend of Burmese, Chinese, Hindu, Indian and Persian motifs. The exterior of the 10-story building features an Art Deco facade. In 1988 the theatre was cleaned and fully restored to its previous state. It is currently owned by Mike Ilitch.
