Formosan American Professional Association

The Formosan Association for Public Affairs (FAPA) is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization that seeks to build worldwide support for Taiwanese independence from China. Its 50-plus chapters also seek to advance the interests of Taiwanese people and communities around the world.

Established in 1982 in Los Angeles, FAPA subsequently moved its headquarters to Washington. Its leaders spend much time and effort talking to U.S. lawmakers, policymakers, scholars, and the general public issues about that affect Taiwan.
